The center
Between tropical reefs, legendary wrecks and the crystal-clear waters of the Caribbean, Atabey Dive Center offers a modern approach to diving: warmer, more immersive, designed for ocean lovers and new explorers alike.
Located at the heart of the Marina Royale in Marigot, Saint Martin, the center provides small-group dive experiences in a young, dynamic and premium atmosphere.
The spirit of Atabey
A symbol of life, of the ocean and of connection to nature, Atabey embodies the very spirit of the center: authentic diving, focused on exploration, transmission and respect for the marine world.
Oualichi, "the island of women", is the ancient name given to Saint Martin by the Taíno people. Legend has it that Oualichi was a sacred island inhabited only by women. The sea goddess and protector of the island was called Atabey, and only those who respected her rules could land safely on its shores.

Valentin Bastide
Founder
Founder of the center and passionate underwater explorer for more than 10 years, Valentin Bastide started diving in Montreal, Canada, before pursuing his professional career in the Caribbean — most notably in Saint Barthélemy, where he earned his dive instructor certification.
After several experiences between Saint Martin and Montpellier, he developed a modern approach to teaching and supervision, blending safety, pedagogy and a human touch.
